Good luck everyone!

I’m excited about this new game, but I’m having a few problems. When I try to access any of the game sites or the cluechaser site in mozilla, it says that the site has been reported as an attack site, and it won’t let me see the source code or anything . When I try to view the sites in Internet Explorer, it won’t let me see the videos. I don’t know if this is just my computer being wacky, or if it’s an overall problem. Any tips for fixing these quirks on my computer woud be greatly appreciated. I can’t wait to get on the trail of E!!!

Eek! I’m having the hardest time trying to figure out “the three numbers before it add up to 13″. I thought I had it,.. I got a great image from that which made me “Think” but I’m not sure if that was right or I just don’t know where to go from there,….

Mozilla works fine for me…

You’re doing better than me Indiedezz. I’m still stuck on the houses. Assuming that I even have the right 237…

boofeslave07. Yes there were some issues with some malware being unknowingly added to the site. Thankfully, Google brought it to my attention. I have cleaned it all up and requested them to re-evaluate it but evidently that process takes a few days. In the meantime there is nothing I can do about the warnings. I can only suggest typing in the URL’s directly.

Perhaps pulling the video up in Youtube.com will allow you to see it. Go to youtube.com and type cluechaser into the search field and it should pull up the video. Let me know if that doesn’t work.

Thanks for your help!

OMG!!!! Wow,… This was the first one! Hah,.. looking forward to how challenging the rest will be!
-P: D = c r a z y!!!

Hmmm. I hoped it would be tougher.

Indiedezz - I “Think” I have that same image. Was yours good or did you find another?

I also found an equally “Hot” image that has 5 digits that start with a 7, but I can’t get them to work…

I found a “hot” image with a string of 5 characters starting with 7, but they are not all numbers. Am I missing something here?

Pretty sure that’s one of the two fitting images I have.

-mrsmathteacher: no I “Thought” wrong and it took a while to even know whether or not I even had the right picture.

AHA! I finally found it.
I wonder if Cowpatty Bill intended that Red Herring that led Indiedezz and I astray…

I may have added a little…”flexibility” to the possible directions in this game.

Off to a bumpy start.

I think I’m missing something simple as I’m trying to find 237, maybe the means of searching the site.

Any discrete hints?

As I tell my students, if you know what something equals, the solving part is done…

Hmm. Amazing how quick you can feel lost.

OK. Any hints on what a TLO is?

and Mrsmathteacher keeping in the criptic vein do I understand your clue to some Degree? or am I heading in the wrong direction

That deceiving font held me up for a long time as well Soozook - I hate sans serifs…look closely

After you arrive at your destination, my previous clue will make more sense.

Now hurry up every one - I’m stuck on number two!

Aah yes. well that is deceiving.
So I took a step forward and stopped. Again.

Tried all combos I could think of of 10^9, Peters last name and the things thats not what I thought it was and the closest I got was all Chinese to me.

So.
is 10^9 abbreviated?
is the suffix as it seems in its entirety?
and is the answer a stand alone location or part of another place?

What have I found out today? That you can zoom in on the pictures that we have to look at on every computer in the world except the following:

1) My work computer;
2) My home computer.

And now that I’m at home, I can’t use somebody else’s computer to view the pictures. Technology hates me.

Umm maybe nevermind.
seems to be some interesting panoramas. Am i right?

Think this will be a Looong game for me.
OK let me know if im in the general ball park.
1) found an image with some northern houses.
2) only found 2 numbers. only one appears to be on a house
3) number has two 6’s in it third number is a little blured but can guestimate.
4) took order state was founded and Appended to the number(s) found
5) took the postcode approach to determine what they might relate to.

Now stuck. Can’t workout if this is correct approach and I just can’t find the right image or if I’m totally off the track.

Hahaha

I’m still where I was at #15 even with #16.

Well if I’m on the right track this might help you. Or it might get you to the same location I am.
273 is a special number on a certain scale.
I then searched the site based on that. One of the pictures I came up with is in a COLD region.

Oops i ment 237 is a special number

Got it past the halfway point. I think we’re facing the multiple possibilities that others faced. We found a picture for clue #4 that sounds like what Dante1 found. It seems pretty perfect but no luck so far getting further. If we’re wrong we might need some volunteer to put out the fire of our enthusiasm for this picture.

We found the power to move on after taking a refreshing look at the picture.

I guess it really does help to look at everything.

*sigh* - getting a late start - but still expect to have some fun!

So am I on the right track UncleBen?

Soozook - are you thinking of 273?

Don’t let the weather fool you … 237 equals where you need to start.

Thanks mrsmathteacher. though not sure it helps. Just don’t think my mind works with this sort of puzzle. Pity

Forgetting the weather 237 is where i need to start.
So 237. I get a robot whose name “absolutely” matches what 237 is.

Is this where I start? If so then something in this picture is supposed to lead me to another picture with houses. Correct?

Alternatively using non absolute 237 gives me a number of possible images…..but which one.

Soozook, in the nicest way possible, I want to tell you to change your method of searching.

You are having a similar problem to what I had and although I didn’t understand mrsmathteacher, she is right.

Abandon the method you’re using and look for a different way to address your search for 237. Good luck!

thanks UncleBen,
I see I’m going to have to start thinking outside the box more. Its funny how your mind fixates on a given solution and you just can’t make it look elswhere without a prod.
Well anyway I have found some intErEsting numbers so I guess I’m on my way again.

I seem to be in the same boat as soozook. Hopefully I can do some better searching/thinking today.

Has anybody found the ship’s wheel yet?

Not I - I haven’t had the time to put into this game as I did the 2nd game, therefore I’m still on deciphering the significance of 237….

frustrating really cuz I enjoy viewing the collaborations as they happen.

I don’t trust ANYONE.

um, was that an actual hint or just a bit of paranoia?

So confused!

aloe01, I was referring to E’s friend telling us to keep secrets.

Have you found the intErEsting numbers that Soozook found?

Hallo aloe?

Ooh, ok. Got it. I plan to look for these “intErEsting” numbers today. Thanks!

I seem to have trouble thinking outside of the box when it comes to 237.

Or maybe I just need some more coffee…

Aloe01, you played Game 2 (Mr. E.) right?

yes, I did. And, didn’t have as much trouble with that one which is partially why I’m baffled.

However, I’m sure I’m over-thinking things as usual.

uh oh, should I remember something from game 2? I’m going to have to refresh my memory if I do!

My goal, and I hope I succeeded, was to make game 3 much harder than game 2.

Well it has worked for me - and, I’m now remembering some information I probably should have saved….

I think the “E” was the clue UncleBen. See post #40 also.

Ever read the comic strip The Wizard of ‘ID’?

sometimes, but, not a regular reader.

I was trying to reference something that happened towards the beginning of Game 2 while the puzzles were being solved but it may be more distracting and less helpful so ignore it for the moment.

Sometimes it’s best to start at the beginning. Using the clues, have you gotten to where the bigger picture is?

I have figured out the 10^9 info if that’s what you’re asking.

Yup. Just wanted to make sure.

Some of us had a hard time searching the site, I definitely did. The posts you want are #16, #31, #33 and #49.

You know what you’re looking for and you know what you should see when you find it. All you’re missing is how to get there.

ok - thanks! I’ll continue to trudge along. :) Glad I wasn’t *too* far off track

One of the best parts about these games is that no one needs to trudge alone.

Try and tack on the last bit and hopefully it will help but don’t be shy if it doesn’t.

You know - I have frequently come across the same “big picture” a few times and wondered about it - after taking a closer look at certain aspects in a different way I have figured out 237. Now, to move onto the rest!

Hurry. So much more fun awaits you! :)
