Just to say that we are still around (we plan to work through games 1 and 2 shortly) and happy to provide little nudgettes on all levels, to anyone who might want them. Just ask - don’t want to wade in with big boots on where they might not be wanted.
FWIW - we found what may have been a coincidence, or might have been a very elegant red herring in puzz5 - it threw us off track for a considerable time, whichever it was.

So, I’ve figured out the foreign characters and also figured out some interesting things about the license plates, but, not able to piece anything together yet.

OK Sharing what I have so far.
Layed out on a 5×11 grid (doesn’t match Chess grid)
10 states in total represented (relates to chinese figures?)
Words represent something real (all small)
Paired plates match except Colorado which has colours inverted.
vertical groups don’t seem to mean anything (at this stage)

I thought of four ways to look up however (well, 4 that could possibly have anything to do with this puzzle.
1. Look up through the posts
2. Look up at your computer screen/internet explorer (literal)
3. Look up at the sky (literal)
4. Look up online
I was also curious as to how many of us are still working away on the puzzles. ???

I’m still here - I’m still trying to make the connection between the plates/5 columns. Even after all the hints I’m having a hard time. I think I need to take a step back and re-examine things
Let me hint this way. Latitude is more important than longitude. Just recognize that there are longitudes.

could mean the columns are more important but we need to keep in mind they are real places. Or that we need to look at Location more closely.
At the moment I fail to see how the song matches what we have in anyway. Have looked up lyrics,characters etc.

I feel like I’ve learned as much as I can find of these places - I found two possibilities that relates to “5″ relative to their location but not sure if its the right thing since it seems to be getting me nowhere.

Also, the song hint is in reference to the title of a Disney tune that once you know what you’re looking for, you’ll probably know the song being hinted at.
